Al Tayer Group appoints Tarek Hendi as Vice President of HR

Al Tayer Group, a Dubai-based retail company, has appointed Tarek Hendi as Vice President of Human Resources, effective September 2024.
Announcing his new role on LinkedIn, Tarek shared, “I’m excited to share that I’m starting a new position as Vice President of Human Resources at Al Tayer Motors, part of Al Tayer Group.
After 17 years in the power industry and 7 years in the FMCG industry, I can’t wait to learn about the automotive industry and hopefully add value to Al Tayer Motors."
In his new role, Tarek brings over 22 years of HR leadership experience across the Middle East’s emerging markets. Most recently, he served at Hitachi Energy in the UAE as Global Head of HR Automation and Communication and Head of HR for the Middle East and Africa. In his previous roles, he worked with BRF as HR Executive Manager for the Middle East and Africa region, GE as HR Director for MEA and India, and PepsiCo as Commercial HR Manager. He began his career with Americana Foods - Egypt as an HR Coordinator.

On the academic front, Tarek holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Ain Shams University, a diploma in Human Resources from the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport, and a certificate in HR Management from Cambridge International (IMI Institute). His core competencies include HR policies, HRIS, employee engagement, performance management, culture change, compensation and benefits, succession planning, team leadership, recruitment, and organisational development.
