Alhamandi brings over a decade of HR, talent management, and development experience across the leading sectors of KSA to his new role.

The General Authority of Awqaf in Saudi Arabia has appointed Abdulmajeed Alhamandi as the Head of Talent Development.

The appointment is effective from January 2025; however, Alhamandi recently announced his new role on LinkedIn: "I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Head of Talent Development at the General Authority of Awqaf."

Alhamandi brings over a decade of HR, talent management, and development experience across the leading sectors of KSA to his new role. He most recently worked with Bank Albilad as the Talent Development Manager, where he oversaw succession planning, leadership programs, competency frameworks, executive programs, training and development programs addressing needs and expectations, identifying skills gaps, and meeting the learning needs of the workforce.

Alhamandi began his HR career with stc in 2014, holding key roles including People Development Supervisor, HRBP, and Learning & Development Analyst. During his tenure at the company, he identified the training needs of the workforce based on the training needs analysis exercise, defined the competencies needed for success in each job within a career path, determined the knowledge, certifications, and learning paths for career development, and built competency to define and measure performance. He also explored and strengthened digital learning platforms to enhance the learning and development experience for employees. In addition, he continually worked on initiatives to improve employee retention, engagement, and the overall learning environment.

As an emerging HR leader with core competencies in employee learning & development, employee engagement, talent management, HR strategy, HR transformation, career management, personnel development, and leadership development, Alhamandi is set to identify key skill gaps at GAA, develop talent, and foster a culture of high performance.
