King Saud University appoints Abdulmajeed Alqusaibi as CHRO

Alqusaibi brings over 16 years of HR leadership experience, and previously served Riyadh Airports as the CHRO.

King Saud University has appointed Abdulmajeed Alqusaibi as the Chief Human Resources Officer, with immediate effect. 

Announcing the appointment, KSU posted, “Congratulations! The Chairman of the University Board of Directors has issued an administrative decision appointing: Mr. Abdulmajeed bin Mohammed Al-Qassim as Chief Human Resources Officer at the university. We ask Allah Almighty to grant him success and guidance.”

Alqusaibi also shared, “Honoured to start a new chapter as Chief Human Resources Officer at King Saud University, one of the most iconic institutions in Saudi Arabia. Looking forward to contributing to the university’s vision and strategic goals. I pray for guidance and success in this new journey and look forward to contributing to the university’s vision and strategic goals. Your prayers are appreciated during these blessed nights.”

In his new role, Alqusaibi brings over 16 years of HR leadership experience across public as well as private sectors of Saudi Arabia. He will be working closely with the University President, and lead the HR function for KSU while overseeing HR for its subsidiaries as well. 

Before this appointment, Alqusaibi served Riyadh Airports as the CHRO for nearly three years. Shared his exit news, he wrote, “Closing a Meaningful Chapter at Riyadh Airports. Nearly three years ago, I embarked on an incredible journey with Riyadh Airports Company. As this chapter comes to a close, I reflect with immense gratitude on the experiences, challenges, and triumphs that have shaped this remarkable journey…Leaving is never easy, but I take with me not only the lessons learned but also the friendships built and the memories created. Riyadh Airports will always hold a special place in my heart, and I am confident that this extraordinary team will continue to soar to new heights. Here’s to new beginnings, limitless possibilities, and leaving a lasting impact on the future.”

Currently, Alqusaibi also serves Airports Council International - ACI Asia-Pacific & Middle East as the Chairman, ACI Asia-Pacific & Middle East HR Committee. In his previous roles, he worked with a confidential Center of Government Jobs as the HR Consultant, Ministry of Finance KSA as the General Manager of HR, National Water Company as the Executive Director of HR, Saudi Central Bank as the Director of Employee Services, Alshaya Group as the Recruitment Manager, and Almarai Company as the Director of Personnel Affairs.

On the academic front, he holds exceptional qualifications with an MBA from Alfaisal University, a bachelor degree in English Language from Al Imam Muhammad Ibn Saud Islamic University, and holds a Chartered Fellow CIPD from CIPD. He also holds key certifications in coaching, people development, project management, HRBP, and other key skills from reputed institutions.
