
MoH-KSA appoints Meraee Al-Qahtani as Deputy Minister of Nationalization & Human Capital

The Ministry of Health – Saudi Arabia has announced the appointment of Meraee Al-Qahtani as the Deputy Minister of Nationalization & Human Capital, with immediate effect.
Announcing the appointment, the Ministry posted, “We extend our sincere congratulations to His Excellency Mr. Meraee bin Hamed Al-Qahtani on the occasion of his appointment as Deputy Minister of Nationalization and Human Capital at the Ministry of Health. We pray to Allah Almighty for his continued success and guidance.”
Meraee joined the Ministry in 2021 as the Assistant Deputy Minister for Supply Chain and Contracts. He brings over 25 years of supply chain and localisation experience in the healthcare sector to his new role.
Before his appointment, Meraee worked with Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare as the Senior Director of Supply Chain Management, and Johns Hopkins Hospital as the Director of Supply Chain Management. Previously, he worked with Security Forces Hospital, Saad Specialist Hospital, and Saudi Aramco in key roles.
On the academic front, Meraee holds an MBA from the University of Hull, a Mini MBA in Healthcare from The Institute for International Research (IIR) INFORMA (Dubai), and a bachelor's degree in MIS from the University of Bahrain. He also completed transformation and executive leadership programs from London Business School and INSEAD, and key certifications in Surgical Technology and Commerce from leading institutions.

In addition to Meraee’s appointment, the Ministry also appointed Reem bint Saleh Al-Ghanim as the Deputy Minister of Human Resources, and Rakan bin Khalid bin Dohaish as the Deputy Minister of International Cooperation.
