
Oman’s National Finance appoints Marwa Al Kharusi as Chief People Officer
National Finance, Oman’s leading non-banking finance company, has appointed Marwa Al Kharusi as Chief People Officer, with effect from April 21, 2025.
Sharing the news on LinkedIn, Marwa posted, “I’m happy to share that I’m starting a new position as Chief People Officer at الوطنية للتمويل National Finance!”
In a release published on the Muscat Stock Exchange, the company announced, “National Finance wishes to inform that Mrs. Marwa Ali Mohammed Al Kharusi has joined us as Chief People Officer with effect from April 21, 2025.”
Marwa began her HR career with the chemical manufacturer Oman Polypropylene and later worked with Shell, Omantel, Ooredoo Group, and Alhuwiya International Management Consultancy.
The company also shared her profile, stating: “Marwa is a senior HR leader who previously served as Senior Vice President of Human Resources at Ominvest, with over 20 years of experience in HR across various industries, including telecommunications, oil & gas, and consulting. At Ooredoo Group, she led nationalization efforts, developing and implementing strategies to attract, develop, and retain local talent, including coaching nationals for career progression. Marwa introduced and managed high-impact learning and development initiatives at Omantel, including leadership programs and technical certifications in partnership with Huawei.”
It added: “She has international experience working in Oman and Qatar, with her role at Deloitte operating at the regional level. Marwa played a key role in restructuring and enhancing HR processes, developing talent development programs, and improving employee engagement initiatives at both Ominvest and Deloitte. At Ominvest, she consistently developed and executed employee engagement strategies, including wellbeing initiatives, CSR projects, and cultural programs to boost morale and retention.”

On the academic front, Marwa holds a Master’s degree in International Management from the University of the West of England and is a CIPD member. She also completed the “Tasmu” Oman Women’s Leadership Program at the Royal Academy of Management, held under the esteemed patronage of Her Highness Sayyida Ahad bint Abdullah Al Busaidiyah. A well-known HR leader in Oman, she was recently recognized for her efforts in diversity and inclusion, digital transformation, and innovation in the workplace.
