Engineer Abdulkhaliq Saeed's appointment as the new CEO follows the transition of current CEO Captain Fahd H. Cynndy to the role of Managing Director.

Saudi Technic, a leading Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) solutions firm, has announced the immediate appointment of Engineer Abdulkhaliq Saeed as Chief Executive Officer. Eng. Abdulkhaliq succeeds Captain Fahd H. Cynndy, who transitions to the role of Managing Director. Capt. Cynndy has served as CEO since 2021.

In his new role, Eng. Abdulkhaliq brings nearly 40 years of leadership experience across the aviation sector. He will be responsible for enhancing the company’s market presence and driving growth in alignment with the National Aviation Strategy, a key component of Saudi Vision 2030.

Before this appointment, Eng. Abdulkhaliq was CEO of Etihad Airways Engineering for seven years. He also serves as CEO of Turbine Services & Solutions and President for the MENA region at Abu Dhabi Aircraft Technologies. His previous experience includes roles with Mubadala Development Company, Jet Airways India, and Gulf Air.

Capt. Cynndy, who brings over 30 years of leadership experience to his new role, has previously held significant positions, including 24 years as Aviation Manager at Saudi Aramco and as a Board Member at Saudi Amad for Airport Services & Transport Support. He currently serves as Chairman of The Helicopter Company, Rotortrade, and Gulf Flight Safety Aviation, and is a Board Member at Al-Ittihad Club Company, MEPCSA Ltd, Saudi Ground Services, and AviLease.

Announcing the leadership transitions, the company stated, “The Board of Directors of Saudia Technic has appointed Engineer Abdulkhaliq Saeed as the new CEO, succeeding Captain Fahd H. Cynndy, who will transition to the role of Managing Director (MD). In his new capacity, Capt. Cynndy will contribute to the growth of Saudia Group’s owned companies and subsidiaries, as well as the development of its new businesses.”

Capt. Cynndy also shared his thoughts on LinkedIn, “A New Chapter Begins: Gratitude and Optimism for the Future.

As I transition from my role as CEO of Saudia Technic to the newly established position of Managing Director, I am filled with deep gratitude for the journey we’ve shared and immense optimism for the road ahead. It is with great pleasure that I welcome Abdulkhaliq Saeed as the new CEO of Saudia Technic. With his vast experience and exemplary leadership at Etihad Engineering, Abdulkhaliq is the perfect fit to lead Saudia Technic into its next era of growth and innovation. I have every confidence that under his guidance, Saudia Technic will continue to set new benchmarks in the MRO industry.

To the incredible men and women of Saudia Technic: your dedication, hard work, and relentless pursuit of excellence over the past four years have been nothing short of inspiring. It has been an honor to lead such a remarkable team, and I am deeply grateful for all that you have done to drive our success.

To our stakeholders, thank you for your guidance, support, and belief in our vision. Your partnership has been essential to our growth, and I am eager to continue building on the strong foundations we’ve laid together.

As I embark on this next chapter, I am reminded of the words of Henry Ford: “Coming together is a beginning, staying together is progress, and working together is success.” I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to share this journey with all of you, and I am excited about the future we will continue to shape together.”
