
Kuwait’s Jazeera Airways strengthens C-suite; Appoints Ginny Sethi as Chief People Officer

Kuwait’s leading airline, Jazeera Airways, has announced key leadership changes with the appointments of three leaders to its C-suite board.
As part of these key appointments, the airline has promoted Ginny Sethi to the role of Chief People Officer, appointed Captain Ayman AlShammari as the Chief Operating Officer, and Paul Carroll as the Chief Commercial Officer, with immediate effect.
Ginny Sethi - the new Chief People Officer
In her new role, Ginny brings around 25 years of HR leadership experience across various sectors, including transportation, banking, and IT. Over the last seven years, she has played a critical role in transforming the company’s culture and aligning people strategies with business goals. "In her new role, she will continue to be instrumental in building an inclusive, high-performing workplace," the company added in the appointment statement.
Before joining Jazeera in 2018 as the Vice President of Human Capital, Ginny worked with City Group Co. as the Chief Human Capital Officer and Agility as the Manager of Corporate Human Capital. She has also been a key member of the Forbes HR Council for over three years.
On the academic front, Ginny holds key qualifications, including an MBA in HR from the Faculty of Management Studies, The CMM, and credentials such as FCIPD, PMP™, GPHR®, SPHRi™, and SHRM-SCP.
Captain Ayman AlShammari takes over as COO
The new COO, Capt. Ayman, brings over three decades of industry leadership experience. He joined Jazeera in 2018 and most recently served as the Vice President of Flight Operations, where he enhanced flight operations, crew training, and operational excellence. Previously, he worked with Kuwait’s DGCA and Kuwait Airways in leading roles. On the academic front, he holds key qualifications, including the IATA Airlines Operations Diploma and certifications from Cranfield University, along with core skills in training, safety, and regulatory oversight.
Paul Carroll - the Chief Commercial Officer
On the other hand, the new CCO, Paul, joins Jazeera with over two decades of aviation leadership experience. In his second stint with the AirAsia Group in Singapore, he served as the Group Chief Commercial Officer from 2024, and previously as the Chief Revenue & Risk Officer from 2022. In his first stint with the group, he served for over a decade in key roles, including Group Head of Revenue Management & Network Planning and Head of Revenue Management. He has also worked with Virgin Australia, flydubai, and Aer Lingus in similar key roles.
On the academic front, Paul holds an MSc in Air Transport Management from Cranfield University and a master’s degree in International Economics from Emlyon Business School. With strong expertise in revenue management, network and marketing, and regulatory affairs, Paul is set to lead the airline’s strategic growth and expansion.

With 26 new Airbus aircraft—including 18 A320s and 8 A321s—on order, and growing passenger traffic, we are scaling operations, entering new markets, and accelerating our commercial and e-commerce strategy. This growth brings increased complexity, making it crucial to strengthen our leadership team to navigate the expanding fleet and markets.”
He added: “Aligned with the government’s focus on job creation, we also plan to generate almost 1,000 new roles at Jazeera and 5,000 indirect jobs in Kuwait over the next five years, supporting national employment goals while enhancing our operational capabilities and building technical capacity and skillsets in Kuwait.”
