Mena brings over two decades of IT industry experience, having served at leading tech firms such as Riverbed Technology, IBM, and Lenovo.

Veeam Software, a leading data resilience platform, has appointed Mena Migally as the new Regional Vice President of Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and English-speaking Africa (EMEA East), effective October 2024.

In his new role, Mena brings over two decades of IT industry leadership experience. He will spearhead the platform’s business growth strategies, focusing on cybersecurity, digital transformation, and hybrid cloud adoption across the region. Most recently, he served at Riverbed Technology for over 10 years, holding positions such as Regional VP for EMEA Emerging Markets and Regional VP for the Middle East, Turkey, and Africa. Prior to that, he worked with tech giants, including IBM, Lenovo, and pharmaceutical manufacturer Sanofi, in key roles.

On the academic front, Mena holds a BSc in IT from the American University in Dubai and has several certifications in leadership, sales, strategic leadership, and chief of staff from LinkedIn Learning.

Welcoming Mena to the leadership team, Tim Pfaelzer, General Manager and Senior Vice President of Veeam EMEA, said, “Migally is an accomplished leader with a track record of driving business growth and value. His involvement in numerous digital transformation projects has given him key insights into the unique challenges our customers face. Migally's leadership will be instrumental as we seize market opportunities where data resilience is paramount. We believe he is the perfect candidate to guide our team and continue Veeam’s high-growth trajectory in the region.”
