
H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed approves AED 277M performance bonuses for Dubai government employees

Dubai Government civilian employees are set to receive performance-based bonuses, as announced by the Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
According to the latest post on x.com, the Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan shared that a bonus of AED 277 million has been approved by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, for the performance-based bonuses to government civil servants who are non-military roles within government entities and departments in Dubai i.e. in administration, public services, healthcare, education, transportation, and other government-run sectors.

The post read: “Under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai, has approved the disbursement of a performance bonus for civil employees in government entities in the emirate, totaling AED 277 million. The bonus will be granted to eligible civil employees according to specified criteria.”
“This generous initiative comes as a recognition of the achievements made by the emirate throughout the year, reflecting the efficiency of government performance and contributing to enhancing Dubai’s competitiveness and reinforcing its position as one of the most advanced and innovative cities worldwide. It also reaffirms the wise leadership’s appreciation for Dubai government employees as essential partners in achieving these successes through their dedication and creativity across various sectors,” it added.
The Crown Prince of Dubai also underlined that this initiative reflects the vision and ongoing guidance of H.H Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum—to invest in and motivate people to deliver their best. By rewarding performance, the Dubai government aims to boost productivity, improve work quality, and strengthen the city’s position as the best place to work and live.
