Eid Al-Fitr 2025 is expected to fall on March 30, 2025, and the holidays, as announced by MHRSD, will begin from March 29 onwards.

The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD) has announced a four-day holiday to celebrate Eid Al-Fitr 2025 for all private and non-profit organisations across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Eid Al-Fitr 2025 is expected to be on March 30, 2025, following the completion of the month-long fasting period. The holidays, as announced by MHRSD, will begin on the same day.

The official notification from the ministry stated, “The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development has announced that there will be a four-day Eid Al-Fitr holiday for the private and non-profit sectors in Saudi Arabia this year. Eid Al-Fitr marks the end of the holy month of Ramadan. The holiday will commence at the end of the working day on Saturday, Ramadan 29, corresponding to March 29, and will continue for four days.”

In Saudi Arabia, the official Eid al-Fitr holiday will begin on Sunday, March 30, 2025, the holiday will continue until Wednesday, April 2. With Friday, March 28, and Saturday, March 29 already falling on the weekend, the employees get an extended break.

MHRSD also reminded private sector employers to comply with the guidelines outlined in paragraph 2 of Article 24 of the executive regulations under the Labor Law.

Last year too, the ministry announced a four-day Eid Al-Fitr holiday, which began on April 9 and continued until April 12. In contrast, the United Arab Emirates declared a week-long holiday for Eid Al-Fitr 2024 for both public and private sector employees.
