DGHR's new report focuses on key factors impacting HR, including talent attraction and retention, L&D practices, HR Tech integration, and enhancing the employee experience in government and private sectors.

The Dubai Government Human Resources Department (DGHR) has released its latest report on 'Navigating Tomorrow's HR in Dubai: Major Drivers and Future Trends in HRM’, as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance and advance HR practices in the region.

The report, which aligns with the national strategies of the Emirate and the vision of the forward-thinking Vice President and Prime Minister, H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, aims to transform Dubai into a global hub for innovation and creativity and strengthen DGHR’s commitment to enhancing HR practices across the region.

The report predicts future needs, challenges, and expectations within Dubai's HR sector, underlining a strategic roadmap that includes solutions, proposals, and tools designed to empower and motivate both national cadres and global talents. It highlights the importance of forging strategic partnerships with both government and private sectors and underscores the significance of sustainable development and community well-being. Additionally, it analyses ongoing and emerging trends and key drivers of HR transformation in the region, providing a nuanced overview of the existing HR framework. Furthermore, the report includes recommendations and contributions from regional HR leaders and experts, addressing new opportunities and challenges as HR and talent professionals navigate the future. It aims to fortify regional HR management and stand out as a global leader in HR innovation, with a focus on technological innovations, government policies, economic growth, globalisation, and inflation. It discusses how these forces impact HR strategies and practices and offers recommendations for adapting to maintain high standards.

Commenting on the same, H.E. Abdullah Ali Bin Zayed Al Falasi, Director General of DGHR's Department, said, “Navigating Tomorrow's HR in Dubai report is a practical and strategic tool reflecting the commitment of the HR Service of the Government of Dubai to offer innovative insights and solutions that promote the growth of the HR sector. The report aligns with our mission of developing smart solutions, formulating flexible and innovative policies, and supporting talented minds that improve Dubai's competitiveness. Under the guidance of our wise leadership, we continue to look ahead and create initiatives that support the national vision, which includes establishing the UAE as one of the top 10 countries in the world for global talent competitiveness and maintaining talent in key industries, making it an ideal destination to live and work. The report's importance stems from its ability to offer a distinctive perspective regarding the Emirate of Dubai's future with regard to human resources and highlight the difficulties that exist here. It also seeks to offer suggestions that will strengthen the position of the sector in Dubai's government organisations, thereby enhancing the Emirate's competitiveness worldwide. This includes addressing important factors that affect HR, enhancing talent attraction and retention strategies, improving learning and development practices, integrating cutting-edge technology into human resource management, and elevating the employee experience within government entities.”
