
Aqeel Kadasah steps down as CEO of Southern Province Cement Company
Southern Province Cement Company (SPCC) has confirmed the resignation of its Chief Executive Officer, Aqeel Kadasah, citing personal reasons.
The company said Kadasah’s resignation was accepted by the Board of Directors, and he will continue to serve as CEO until the end of this month. It stated, “Southern Province Cement Company announces the decision of its Board of Directors, dated 09-03-1447 AH (corresponding to 01-09-2025 AD), to accept the request of the CEO, Eng. Aqeel bin Futayes Kadasah, to terminate his contractual relationship as CEO of the company by mutual consent, effective 30-09-2025 AD, due to personal circumstances.”
Kadasah joined SPCC in 2009, bringing with him a wealth of leadership experience. Before his appointment as CEO in 2019, he served as Executive Vice President.
The company added, “The Board of Directors expresses its sincere thanks and appreciation to Eng. Aqeel bin Futayes Kadasah for his effective leadership and valuable contributions to improving the company’s performance since his appointment as CEO in November 2020, and wishes him continued success.”

As of now, a successor has not been named. “The company will announce any developments regarding the appointment or assignment of a new CEO in due course,” the statement concluded.
Outgoing CEO Kadasah has not commented on the news yet; however, colleagues who worked closely with him have been sharing the announcement and extending their best wishes.
